Department Codes

Purpose

Departments are a further, optional grouping of staff that has no link to services or groups. Timemaster strives to be as flexible as possible and as such may provide more reporting levels than your immediate needs. Departments may be used to define office locations, or hierarchical groups of staff or organisation levels.

NOTE: The following fields are located in the DEPTCODE database table.

Item	Database Item	Description
Department	Department (10 char code)	The department code.
Description	Department_name (50 char code)	General narrative to describe the department code.
Available for use?	avail_for_use	Un-tick this checkbox if you no longer wish the code to appear in lookups

Additional Information

Departments are provided purely for reporting flexibility. They may be changed at any time without affecting your data.
