SQL Views Connectivity

Purpose

This topic explains how to connect directly to the Timemaster database via Excel.

Pre-requisites

Only available in Timemaster v4.11.0+

The CreateTimemasterBI.zip script needs downloading and executing against your Timemaster database. The script creates the database views that can then be queried against.

Operation

Excel 2016+

1)	Open Excel
2)	File > Data > Get Data > From Database > From SQL Server Database
3)	Enter the Server and Database names*
4)	Expand the Advanced Options
5)	Enter your script into the SQL statement box
6)	Click OK
7)	Click Database
8)	Enter the username and password you use to connect to the Timemaster database*
9)	Click Connect
10)	Click Load
