OData Feed Connectivity

Purpose
This topic explains how to connect to the OData Feed web service.
Pre-requisites
This requires the OData Feed Web Service to be set up on your website. Click here for instructions.
Operation
Connect to the Reporting feed with these simple steps;-
NOTE: Please note that Timemaster users must to be granted the Reports > Allowed Access to OData access right before they can connect to the OData feed.

Power BI (Desktop only)
1)

Open Power BI Desktop
|
2)
|
File > Get Data > OData Feed
|
3)
|
Enter the URL: {Server Name}/{TimemasterOdataFeed service name}/odata
i.e https://TimemasterServer.co.uk/TimemasterOdataFeed/OData
|
4)
|
The OData feed options will now be shown. By default, Anonymous connection is assumed. We don't support Anonymous authentication so you will initially receive an authentication error.

Click Basic
|
6)
|
Enter the username and password you use to connect to Timemaster
|
7)
|
Re-select the correct URL
|
8)
|
Click Connect to establish a connection to the OData feed
|
9)
|
Select the Timemaster table(s) you want to report on
|
10)
|
Click Load
|
Excel 2016+
1)
|
Open Excel
|
2)
|
File > Data > Get Data > From Other Sources > From OData Feed
|
3)
|
Enter the URL: {Server Name}/{TimemasterOdataFeed service name}/odata
i.e https://TimemasterServer.co.uk/TimemasterOdataFeed/OData
|
