Recovering Clipped Hours

Purpose

Clipped hours are hours which have been deducted from the attendance because of early starts or late finishes. This only occur if the working rule-sets are set-up to deduct time outside extreme start and finished.

For example,

There is a rule which defines the earliest start is 07:30 and the latest finish is 19:30 to safeguard employee’s health. Any time which is booked earlier than 07:30 or later than 19:30 is written off as clipped adjustments and shows in the timecard as adjustments.

credited as 07:30

If it is wished to reimburse the employee for the lost time, it is necessary to create a lump sum adjustment to give back the lost time. This may be particularly common when evening meetings are required.

To learn how to make a lump sum adjustment, see Creating a Lump Sum Adjustment
