Using the Timer

Purpose
The timer allows you to record time spent on projects using a stopwatch. The elapsed time from starting the timer to ending the timer is recorded into the timesheet when the timer is stopped. Each time the timer is saved, it creates a new line within your timesheet containing the project details and elapsed time.

Timer is not in use - This will only be available if your Timesheet Option Show timesheet timer is ticked. |

Operation
1.Click the 2.Select the Project/Task/Activity combination you want to record time against. 3.Select the Overtime Type and enter any Notes you want to appear on the timesheet for this entry. 4.Click the Start Timer button to start the timer. 5.The timer icon on the will now show the timer as recording: 6.You can now navigate away from the timer by clicking the Return to Homepage button. |
1.Click the 2.To save the timer, click on either the Save & Clear or Save & Resume buttons.

Click the To cancel the timer, click the Cancel Timer button. This will cancel the timer and discard any accrued time. |
If you realise that you have started recording time to the wrong project / task / activity combination this can be changed by clicking the Update Timer button. Please note that this must be done before saving the timesheet booking. |
