Deleting Projects

Purpose

This option allows a project to be hidden or permanently deleted, and previously hidden projects to be re-instated.

Additional Information

Hiding a project just hides the project from all lists, look-up lists and reports and does not allow time to be booked. A hidden project may be brought back as a live project using the same function.

Deleting a project permanently deletes the project, removing all data from the database. The project cannot be recovered once it has been permanently deleted.

Note NOTE: Projects may be also be archived. This requires your system to be configured with a separate archive database. Projects can then be moved from your live Timemaster database to an archive database which provides a means of keeping your live Timemaster database free from the clutter of historic project information. With this configuration you can view and report on project data stored in the archive database. Previously archived project data can also be restored back into the live Timemaster database. The process of archiving and restoring project data can only be performed in the Windows application.
