Staff User Fields

 

Purpose

If you require additional fields on the staff database than those supplied in the Timemaster product, you may add you own fields and enter the values applicable to those fields here.

An example of this would be if you wanted to expand Timemaster to store HR data such as Next Of Kin, Eye Sight due date or Professional Qualifications.

 

Additional Information

A maximum of 10 staff user fields may be added.

To add new user defined fields;-

1.Navigate to Windows Application > Setups > Staff Related Codes > User Defined Fields.

2.Click the New button.

3.Fill in the appropriate information.

4.Click the Save button.

5.Click the Web Fields tab page.

6.Select the User Defined Field you have created.

7.Click the > button to make it available in the Web Lookup.

 

Note: The data entered here is held as straight text. For example, if you specify a date field the date you entered will be held purely as text, not as a date that could have arithmetic operations carried out on it.

The custom category used to define this user field

Description

A descriptive title for this user field

Text

The text value of the user field*

Date

A date value for the user field*

Number

A numeric value for the user field*

*Only one value is entered per user field it will either be a Text, Date or Number value based on the user field definition.
